manual door locks converting to electric
Lots can be converted depending on the linkage. You would need to open one up to see. Most have a second linkage for the lock. If yours only has one, then you might run into some 'interesting' design challenges. In my opinion, electric locks are a real pain in the but when they get older. Old wires flex and break, grounds get punky, rain shorts things out because the door seals aren't sealing any more or the drains are blocked, etc... But if you are doing a detail restore, then anything is possible to do. Even fitting new door latches so you have the right linkages for a separate locking mechanism.
