For Sale: PAIR of Front Coil Springs, New, 91-94 4wd Explorer 4dr $50 plus shipping. Located in Phoenix, AZ. Stupid me, I thought I needed to order two springs but each order was a pair of springs so now I have an extra pair of brand new springs I don't need. I replaced the originals because they had sagged an inch. Just the one inch of sag left only half an inch before the axle hit the bump stops. These new springs have made a huge improvement in the ride of my explorer. If you no longer have at least 3-4" of travel between the axle and bump stops you would probably see a real benefit from new springs. They are easily installed with simple hand tools, one jackstand, and one scissors jack. The only tool you probably won't have is the 1-1-8 combo wrench for the spring retainer nut.
