1998 Cheverlot Astro Van Fuel Pump
Demon)
98 Tahoe "Shudders under load Thanks all for the replies! This problem began a year ago. I immediately took the... Well, the Astro-Safari is available with an AWD system that is very capable, making it close to a "real" 4x4. (The low ground clearance is the real hindrance to these vans and that can be improved with a lift kit.) Chances are your pump is bad. How many miles? I suggest you go here: www.astrosafari.com Check out the forums and you will see there is plenty of talk on fuel pumps and related as they seem to go out anywhere from 100K to 200K miles. (And some times before 100K....) The search feature on this site doesn't work as well as it should, so if you don't find the troubleshooting info you need, just ask. Oh, and there is only the one pump, but sometimes the fuel pump relay can be a problem and-or the wiring to the relay and then on to the pump.
